So I recently started back illustrating for Archer on FX. Actually if you don’t know, Floyd County Productions is the studio that makes the show. Anywho, this season, the artists are collaborating on a sketch blog in our spare time. We’ve got some really sweet projects lined up. If you’re an Archer fan, come see what we’re up to. Theres a good chance there’s some crazy fan art involved. And if you’re not an Archer fan, you should still come see. We’ve really got some fantastic artists.
The first project was to create fight cards with a little info, and an avatar. So here’s mine: the Remydragon, a mix of my dog and a fish. With antlers. Basically a Qilin. If you don’t know what that is, it’s awesome.
Here’s the final scientist drawing! (or is it?) I’ve drawn Neil before, and I’ll probably draw him again. But honestly. He’s great right? The world needs more people like him who are excited about science and can get other people excited about it. True, he had a hand in demoting pluto, but he’s also one of the most outspoken proponents of an asteroid impact avoidance plan. <—(hundred dollar sentence) WHICH, should be a big deal. An asteroid impact wouldn’t be fun. Plus, Neil was in a comic book.
My 4th scientist drawing! He was the first to really get me into science. No lie, I watched his show everyday when I got home from school (along with Wishbone). Sooner or later they’ve gotta put it up on Netflix right? Yeah. Someday… Anyway, until then, follow this twitter if you haven’t already. https://twitter.com/Bill_Nye__Tho
Obviously, its not actually Bill Nye, but it is definitely actually hilarious.
Third installment of my scientist series! I came across this video a few years ago and knew this guy would be one of my favorites. He took the boring things I thought I learned in science class and made them seem so much more real by using imagination to think about them. Kind of a contradiction I guess, but it worked! He might even be my favorite modern scientist. Check the video to see what I mean. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aXtnYnoutKk
Here’s numba two of my favorite scientists series. Some might know that this dude built a particle collider in his garage when he was in highschool. Fewer people have heard, though, that he used the collider to vaporize the clothes off the school bully in assembly and win the love of the cute girl in gym class. -cwestgate.com
